Thanks to the people who are reintroducing and restoring native plants to Texas, the state is slowly returning to its original form. Native plants keep the land healthier and more drought resistant. Additionally, native plants help protect the animals who live here. The Native Plant Society of Texas, Austin Chapter, are committed to restoring a healthier environment, which, needless to say, includes our trees. Perhaps that is why they invited me to speak about our historic trees this Tuesday, June 18, at their meeting at Wild Basin Preserve from 7:00-8:30. Please join us as the meeting is open to all people. What could be more natural?
