Meditation Tree, South Texas

Jimmie, a friend I met during the Wildflower Center Art Exhibit, wrote about the following tree. She enjoys the grounds for their spiritual powers and feels a close connection to this hardy tree:

“This is another favorite of mine at Lebh Shomea. It’s near the Big House which was Sarita Kennedy’s home until she died and donated it to a Catholic order. This old tree has withstood the strong coastal winds and even though it is bent over and has old cracked bark, there are still green limbs growing up toward the light and a cactus plant that grows on the old bent trunk.”
