The real joy of Living Witness is that it has allowed me to meet so many wonderful, talented people. One of the highlights was getting to meet a famous Mexican artist, Alejandro Rosales Lugo. I got to enjoy his beautiful, colorful paintings at the San Marcos Activity Center show that we shared throughout June. You can see the deep, Mexican love of bright colors in his work. He introduced us to the many interesting artists of Tamaulipas, Mexico, a region that has an abundance of talented men and women who create their work in cities around the world. In the United States, his work has recently been on display in San Antonio and San Marcos both at the Activity Center and at this lovely place. What a thrill it was when he gave me a signed copy of his book which tells stories of his hometown from the perspective of street dwellers, “Personajes De Mi Cuidad.” I will continue to post updates about his work and his adventures. Tremendous!
