To say Philip and Gail Shaw love trees is a bit of an understatement. Their house was built around an amazing live oak that grows through the home. They love to hold waltzes and parties beneath the towering tree. They also have a beautiful tree on the property they call “Grandpa,” which I will include on a later post. Aside from their giant oak they call ‘Methuselah,” they also have a tree they have been told is an Indian marker tree–trees the Indians tied sideways to mark fresh water and camping areas. Thanks, Philip and gail for helping preserve our natural wonders.
